Can we pull new features from reddit that have been introduced since this was forked?

This issue is meant for discussion. We will close it once individual useful features have their own issues.

Examples: pinned threads, subreddits, sidebar, saving, real name verification, perhaps flairs

The code bases have diverged significantly and Reddit release code in a way that makes it very difficult to isolate an cherry pick individual features.
