New logins not allowed to comment on welcome page? #566

Feel a bit silly but cannot add a welcome comment here: http://lesswrong.com/lw/mij/welcome_to_less_wrong_8th_thread_july_2015/ I re-sent the email confirmation and still nothing. I attached an image with the top and bottom of the comments board and the lack of reply button. untitled

Update: Provided im logged out, i have the option to reply to an existing, which then prompts me to login but takes me to the correct screen. Still not sure how to write a new comment.

Hmm, it seems the real issue is re-sending verification does not come with a code. I deleted the account and remade it for an email with verification code.
