Letter "w" looks like black spot in bold face

Example: default

Font size = 12 Font weight = bold

Please do something so wide letters like "w" or "m" look distinguishable.

FantasqueSansMono_ss01 - with straight "k" (not looped). BTW, is looped variant default?

OS = Manjaro Linux

System font configuaration antialias = true hinting = true autohint = true hintstyle = full rgba = none

@belluzj, any ideas to change the situation?

The "problem" is the setting hintstyle = full. On my machine (KDE, Ubuntu), I get the same result as you with hintstyle = full but a more legible result with hintstyle = none:

@belluzj I tried and noticed that all other applications look like a crap except your font (which look good indeed) Thanks for advice, but I am not going to change my font configuration.
