the deposition process needs to be codified. could perhaps use some version of this?

comments from google groups email: Two steps to this process that I want to discuss.

  1. Codification of the deposition process Ultimately, I want to have an articulation of the specific steps we use for QC purposes to make sure a formatted dataset is ready for inclusion in the IRW. I had started one for my own purposes here. I think we can build on this; it was done to clarify my own process but might be useful moving forward.

  2. Once the deposition process is standardized, I am hoping that others can contribute to this critical QC component of 'checking in' data to the IRW. Many people have helped with processing of data and this is the next step: getting them involved with check the work of the data processors! In the long run, my hope is that a broad community of people can play both roles so that the IRW can really grow.
