scope of the project? What problem are we trying to solve? See #5 and #7. Unsure if I have much to add to a problem which seems effectively solved by genemark2s

handling of the data/ preparation into what form. I think I need to understand a bit more about machine learning to understand how the data should be prepared.

  1. scope - gene and ortholog identification. Potentially using GeneMark2 and then a ortholog finder layer on top

  2. data handling - create a database, get summary statistics
