This would be useful if there are a few programs that you use frequently and want them running in the background. And you can just bring them up by pressing the assigned shortcut.

For eg: I would use it to keep Notion running in the background.

Thanks

Or maybe just a simpler version of this would be shortcut like Ctrl+Win+Alt+Up to restore all the minimized apps.

Hi @rp1231,

Adding hotkeys for individual applications sounds like more complexity than I personally plan to add to RBTray, but if you would like to put together a proposal or pull request on how to implement this, I'd be happy to discuss it with you.

Thanks, Benbuck

I second the request to have a keyboard mechanism to restore windows. My suggestion would be a single hotkey that would bring up a list of minimized windows from which the user could select the window to restore. This is essentially what 4t tray minimizer does. (I've been using 4t but I'd like to switch to RBTray as it is OSS and more lightweight -- the only feature missing from my perspective is this keyboard-restore functionality).
