I'm aware that this is a duplicate, but I want to suggest Qwant Maps as an alternative for Google Maps.

At least an option to change Google Maps if an environment config is not set.

that's not good either. :( you can use openstreetmaps

Openstreetmaps would need to be a drop-in replacement, as in, you can change just the domain, and it will still work.

I believe that Qwant Maps is based on OpenStreetMaps
