Are you deploying via Heroku? If so, this has been periodically been an issue with Heroku that I haven't been able to track down yet. Between the weird UI issues and their lack of enforcing HTTPS for their own apps, I'm considering just dropping Heroku support altogether.

I have been using Whoogle via Heroku for a long time, I have to delete the app and re-deploy everytime theres an update other than that, theres no problem. I couldnt reproduce OP's problems but I am on Windows 10 (but I dont think why that could be a factor)..

But DO Not drop support for Heroku, I Love using Whoogle..
