carelink follower login Error xdrip

Hello, I am trying to use CarelinkFollower as a data source for xdrip 990df11 -2023.05.26. However, I immediately get the error message:

CareLink login error! Response code: 400, error message: NullPointerException:value==null.

User names and passwords are 100% correct!

What can I do now?

Thats not an Issue from xdrip. Carelink Servers are down. You can close this.

I See you are in germany.... im in germany too and my carelink follower app dont work since 4 days or longer.. I got an email from medtronic too that the server is broken

Does anyone have any news? Because I'm from Brazil and around here, the carelink application even came back .. But I can't log into xdrip.

We have the same issue in Finland. Carelink app works fine now, but xDrip gives error code 504.

@cris-mo version released on 26.05.2023 (v0.1.9-beta) is outdated, CareLink authentication servers were changed. Please use the latest version (v0.1.11-beta): https://github.com/benceszasz/xDripCareLinkFollower/releases/tag/v0.1.11-beta

@cris-mo you can also use the official xdrip , because these authentication server changes have been approved in the official xdrip as well. Just make sure that you use a version released after 29.06.2023. For example you can use that latest Nightly release: https://github.com/NightscoutFoundation/xDrip/releases/tag/2023.07.16

Installed newest release and I still have an updated version of the xdript variant1. Both still don't work. Error code 504 I'm from Belgium.

@Perhenyman @kimdeceuster @seohyeonyang It seems that maybe changing the user-agent (fake browser client type) solves the HTTP 504 issue. Before releasing these changes I would like to make sure that it will really work for those, who are having the 504 error. So I have created a new temporary version, which you can download from the following link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1F6m-KQ7wfuKugmjV4WtYn-8IwURHW74m/view?usp=sharing

Please download and install this new temporary version of CareLink Follower and try if it works for you and the HTTP 504 error doesn't occur anymore.

The Google drive version continually crashes on my Samsung phone, displaying this error:

However, it appeared to log in to Carelink initially before crashing. I live in Canada if that location means anything.

Or you can also wait for the official xdrip version, since the same modification has been also made in the official xDrip+, which should be approved and released very soon!

@elt-ray have you been using my CareLinkFollower version of xdrip on your Samsung phone without any issues previously? I haven't made any changes that could lead to crashing on a phone if it was working well before.

Thank you so much for your kind reply to my issue. Strangely, your app is working now without crashing. I have no idea what has happened, because I had cleared the cache and data repeatedly and entered my Carelink details many times, but it would crash right away.

It seems to be working fine now! I even transferred the app to my Samsung watch again.

I don't know what I'd do without wonderful people like you who go out of your way to respond to and help so many Type 1 Diabetics. I can't thank you and the other Xdrip developers enough. Truly, you are heroes.

I figured it out... it seems if "notifications" is switched to "on" in settings it crashes!
