Ha, OMG, I hadn't the faintest what you were talking about at first. I don't know much about the algorithm, just that it seems to work fairly well. I'm using it directly from the JSFeat package here: https://inspirit.github.io/jsfeat/#features2d In terms of understanding the underlying concepts behind it, it's been awhile, and I'm not even sure if I understood the concepts at the time. So your googling is as good as mine! Sorry I can't be more helpful!
