Sourceforge download is Trojan infected #247

Downloaded this from Sourceforge - which states it is an exact mirror of this site's project - and Defender detected a SEVERE threat Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml

Is that to be expected??

Hmmm, if that's the case that's a real pain. However, I have no control over what is on SourceForge. Is this the project you're referring to? https://sourceforge.net/projects/goawk.mirror/ It looks like some kind of crappy mirror.

In any case, I don't have any control over stuff on other websites, so closing this issue.

Thanks Ben I realise it's not under your control but it was FYI and also it's not unheard of for some software packages to be flagged up by AV software as infected (though not normally severe!) although is perfectly safe.
