I wasn't able to find 25mmx20mmx3mm ring magnets for sale in the UK. I've ordered from Germany but the shipping cost and time are (somewhat) significant. It's definitely not a big deal but I thought worth flagging in case there is an option that is more generally available. I've ordered a cheap fat ferrite magnet (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Magnet-Expert-thick-Y30BH-Ferrite/dp/B003MWC2OU/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=ferrite+ring+magnet&qid=1605282237&sr=8-4) and I'll maybe have a play to see if that would work.

Hey, good point! In principle, it should also be possible to use an assembly of magnets to "imitate" the ring magnet. I haven't tested it, but I will investigate it. I have something like this in mind: SuperMagnete.de In case you have lenses with a larger diameter, one wants a larger ring too.
