In general the nanos seem to have a problem using public-pool but due to the lack of detailed logs and closed source software I can't say what the problem is.
Is there any way I can debug this?
I also have a Avalon Nano 3 with problems connecting to my public-pool when all others work just fine. What I have seen is if I start the Nano on the public-pool with LOW setting Hashrate on the device panel info goes to a max of 2.1THS and it stays alive on the pool a lot longer them if I use any other settings, GUI Pool shows 3.8THS (?). If I put it on HIGH, that's 4.2THS on the device panel it stays on only 10 to 20 seconds, public-pool on GUI doesn't even shows the "cgminer". I believed that this has something to do with the high hashrate the device gives to the pool when starting.
In my case it works in Low mode, but resets connection every couple of minutes. Uptime is never above 5 minutes, unfortunately it is not usable at all.
Also using Umbrel, I've noticed a commit not so long ago regarding issues with cgminers, but I have no clue if public pool version on Umbrel picked that up ?
There has been trouble recently on https://web.public-pool.io/#/ to adjust mining difficulty.
I have had better results testing on https://solo.d-central.tech/#/ and also by running a local installation of https://github.com/benjamin-wilson/public-pool-app .
What do you mean by better results? Is it working properly or not?
Yes diff adjustment works on the two alternatives for me.
Hi,
I'm running a Public pool on my Umbrel OS with Bitcoin pruned to 100GB and fully synced. My Bitaxe and NerMiner connected without any problems, but when I try to connect my two Avalon Nano 3 miners, they won't connect to my local Public pool. However, they connect just fine to the Shared Public Pool. The issue only happens when trying to connect them to the local pool. Any suggestions on what might be causing this?
This is how it looks when I set it up to be connected to my Local Public Pool (Umbrel OS):
And this is how it looks when I connect to the Shared Public Pool:
