Java Rendering Engine Cobra (http://lobobrowser.org/cobra.jsp).

(Not sure if references (images, CSS, JS) in the HTML file can be resolved correctly.)

@cherweg I've implemented the JODHtmlThumbnailer - better than nothing I suppose. I was wrong, OpenOffice does interpret CSS and even images - however the thumbnail is far from a screenshot anyway. Enough for your purposes?
