What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.dropping your android phone so the lcd and digitizer is unusable
2.buying a new phone
3.connecting adb under linux on the old phone still works

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Hoping to transfer wallet files to my netbook, and the to new android phone

What version of Bitcoin Wallet are you using? On what Android version and
what phone? Don't just state 'most recent', this is not enough info.
Cant say what version, because screen is blank, but kept up with updates
until july 12th
Broken device is samsung galaxy s3 international, new device is samgsung
galaxy s3 LTE

If you have problems with particular transactions, what is your Bitcoin
address? If you happen to have transaction IDs, please state them as well.

Please provide any additional information below.

Easy:

Use "Options > Backup > Export" *before* you drop your phone and Archieve to
Email, Google drive or Dropbox or copy the backup file from your SD-Card
manually.
Use "Options > Backup > Import" on your new phone.

If only your digitizer is unusable, you can operate your Android 4.x phone by
connecting an USB mouse.

If your screen is out of order, I'm afraid you're out of luck.

nope, its the lcd, AND the digitiser, the screen is totally unusable.

So theres no was to physically move the wallet file out, and overwrite it
on a new device?

Chad.

Perhaps you can repair the device? I don't know, I suggest asking at modder
communities (e.g. Cyanogenmod?)

I mirrored the display on my computer thru adb, (the digitizer still
worked for gross movements) and pushed keyboard commands to backup
locally. Pulled the keys, pushed them to the new device and recovered
the wallet. Thanks for your suggestions, i think it is reparable. Take
care, all the best. Thanks for your great app!

Chad.

Ah that's actually a great idea! Good to hear at least your Bitcoins are safe.
