not picking up dns after connect #62

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Connect to a Vpn with internal dns
2. Ping an internal host by IP address - this works
3. Ping the same host by hostname - this fails

What is the expected output? 
Both pings work
What do you see instead?
Ping by name fails with unknown host error

What version of the product are you using? 
0.6
On what operating system?
CyanogenMod5.0.3.1-N1

How to config internal dns server after vpn connection?

Same here:
-HTC HD2
-Froyo Sense v2.3

getprop net.dns1 (and 2) gives correct internal DNS servers, nslookup gives 
server 0.0.0.0

Has there been any movement on this?  I have this problem on a Desire Z/Vision 
with Virtuous Unity v1.29.0 ROM and wanted access to a work network where Cisco 
VPN connectivity is a requirement.
