It looks like the last ffplay has actually got a stream there!
Have you tried directly connecting the device to the ethernet port?

Hi there Benjojo, Sorry to hijack / Negro this.
Firstly thank you for your efforts, I also followed Danman's guide and got as far as getting a picture piped through to VLC but no audio.
I'm still struggling to get that working, and googling some more I came across your project, I have tried using the precompile project and I am sitting with the same scenario as Yaty above, output it pretty much identical, but VLC doesn't display the output or the audio.
Any ideas? Thanks Matt
Are you sure there is Audio on the HDMI link? If you could take a short (1s) pcap that might help
wow thank you for the speedy response I had followed Danmans guide which included steps for the audio, it just sounds like static when importing RAW into audacity
I can send you a pcap if you would like to see for yourself?
but a quick way to determine it for sure is that I have the corresponding receiver unit and it works as expected video and audio
Yeah testing with a receiver works too if you have one, if not if you ZIP up 1s worth of traffic in a pcap here I might be able to see if there is audio data in line or not.
There is audio data in there (port 2066 is the audio data), So at least theoretically it should work. What command options are you using?

Launches VLC but nothing happens from there...
Ideally what the goal here to do is use vlc to transcode into unicast stream
Morning Ben, trust you well, had any joy with the above? Thnx
Not sure if it is the same as the issue here: https://github.com/benjojo/de-ip-hdmi/issues/15
As I posted there changing to a different source helped for me.
Hello,
Thanks for this tool ! I use a V2 sender and I'm trying to get the video stream in VLC.
VLC seems to load forever (before I Ctrl + C).
I checked
tcpdump
and as expected I have a lot of traffic going on :I tried to pipe to ffplay instead of vlc and this what I get :
The MAC adress I use is the one given inside
http://192.168.168.55/
Do you know what could be wrong here ?
