Use uppercase (RT) for re-tweeting #156

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. re-tweet link on the incoming tweet is lowercase (rt)
2. click it
3. re-tweet abbreviation in the beginning of your tweet is lowercase (rt)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Check out other twitter apps - they use uppercase (RT).

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.2.4 Win XP SP3

Please provide any additional information below.
Is there a reason for this implementation? I do not see the benefits of
lowercase (rt) here, when uppercase (RT) has become standard. Plus,
uppercase is easier to notice.

Excerpt from Issue 91 (though it's not related to the issue itself, so this is
not
duplicate)

Specifically:
Links to groups are not created
"Favorite" link outputs a message, but does not favorite the notice
Clicking the timestamp takes you to twitter
"rt" meaning "retweet" is incorrect terminology for laconica, "rd" for "redent"
or
the ♲ symbol instead.

Just a note so I can look for this issue when re-implement the mention timeline.

The new retweet mechanism makes this kind of obsolete. (Unless you enable
old-style retweet link...)

I call this a duplicate - Issue#106 would fix this Issue.
