What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to http://gears.google.com/ web-site using Firefox
2. Hit the Install button

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

"Google Gears" could not be installed because it is not compatible with your 
Firefox build type (Linux_x86-gcc3). Please contact the author of this item 
about the problem.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Firefox 3.6.12
Ubuntu 10.04 

Please provide any additional information below.

same problem on Firefox 3.6.12 (Moziila build and Ubuntu build) in Ubuntu 10.10

As I mentioned above, I had this problem that I had in Ubuntu 10.04 x32 with 
Firefox 3.6.12. But now that I have Ubuntu 10.10 x64 with Firefox 3.6.13, I can 
install Google Gears without any problem (Although http://gears.google.com/ 
shows that 32-bit OS is required and 64-bit ones are not supported).

Install failed using Firefox 3.6.13 on Ubuntu 10.10 (x32) running on a Dell 
1012 netbook with the following error:

"Google Gears" could not be installed because it is not compatible with your 
Firefox build type (Linux_x86-gcc3). Please contact the author of this item 
about the problem.
