Constant refresh/redirect of google mail with gears 0.5.29.0 #919

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I try to go to http://mail.google.com/mail/?hl=en&tab=wm
2. The page loads but constantly reloads before anything is visible
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see my Google mail in the browser
I have a blank page with page title and status bar looping a redirect or
something

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Vista
Firefox 3.5
Gears 0.5.29.0

Please provide any additional information below.

This is known issue with multipple accounts in the same browser.

The link seems to suggest to me that by not using https and clearing the cache 
the
problem will be resolved, but this does not appear to be the case for me.

I think clearing all Google cookies is even more important than clearing the 
cache.
If you already did this I don't have other hints, then you'll have to wait for 
the
Gears team to answer. ;-)

Clearing all Google cookies and the browser cache didn't work for me, either.

I just upgraded to FF 3.5.1 (already had Gears 0.5.30) and can't access gmail. 
It
loops as mentioned previously by others. I had no problems access gmail with FF
3.0.12 which was using earlier. If I disable Gears, problem goes away. Help

I have just started suffering from this problem as well.
IE8, all windows updates.
Only one google account ever used on this PC.
Cookies deleted.
Works fine in firefox, but its impossible to use gmail in IE.
