What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install Gears in FireFox
2. Sync an application (Gmail)
3. Install Chrome
4. Sync the same application

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The user should be able to merge the data into one location. Instead
redundant copies are kept in multiple locations. I would recommend storing
the unified data in a location such as
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Google\Gears. Under some configurations this
could save GBs of HD space and network bandwidth.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Gears 0.5.30.0, FF 3.5.1, Windows Vista 64bit

Please provide any additional information below.
This is just a feature request. It is currently working as documented at
http://www.google.com/support/gears/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=79850.
