With Google Gears on Safari, i go to maps.google.com

When i click the top left button to find my location on the map, it always
places me in Washington although i live in Slovenia.

Software versions i'm using:
Google Gears 0.5.29.0
OS X 10.5.7
Safari 4 Public Beta (5528.17, r46237)

I tried it with Firefox 3.5.1 and the same issue happens.

Does your computer have WiFi? If not, Gears will attempt to use IP for
location,
which is approximate at best.

This a problem with Google's location database, not with Gears.

Oh. When i turned on WiFi (but didn't connect on any network; still using the
ethernet) it
sort of worked. Now it placed me only 150km away.

Edit: on second try, it placed me correctly. Case closed.
