firefox.exe process is not unloaded after closing all Firefox windows, if google gears is installed #967

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install Google gears plug-in
2. Open Firefox browser
3. Close Firefox browser
4. Open windows task manager
5. You will find firefox.exe process still in memory
6. Repeat with steps 2-5 and you will find many firefox.exe processes in
memory.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected:
After closing Firefox windows, there is NO firefox.exe process in memory.
Instead:
After closing Firefox windows, there IS firefox.exe process in memory.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Operating system - Windows XP SP3
Google gears - 0.5.33.0
Firefox - 3.5.4
