[idea] handler_appliance #220

Cherokee is a very versatile webserver and is usable and many scenarios. As
fast webserver, as embedded webserver with low footprint and as application
server. I have been approached to write a handler that can do system
maintenance. Imagine this as an embedded interface like cherokee admin, but
then for operations on the base system, add firewall rules, setting
essid's, etc.

The handler would be a success if no other daemon is required to run on the
system. Since this could get pretty specific I like to keep the design
general, though targeted for Linux. This is a paid GPL job, but would allow
Cherokee to run on 100.000+ devices. The specificness is really the border
on getting it into Cherokee or something in the contributions. Nevertheless
I see great possibilities for a small monolithic webserver process and a
monolithic kernel ;)
