Thanks for your kind note, yes, I'm also a bit puzzled about why those dependencies don't auto-install when you install this package. That's what I'm expecting, like other packages, but it doesn't seem to happen with this one.
I see that my documentation for topic modelling with MALLET is not clear, sorry about that. If JSTOR_MALLET
is working correctly, you should get one or more files that contain 'outputtopickeys' in the file name. That is the 'topic keys file'. And you should also get a file that contains 'outputdoctopics' in the file name, that is the 'doc topics file'. If you don't see those in your output, do follow up with more specific details about your situation (e.g. the exact names of the files that you do see, and an example data set so I can attempt to reproduce your problem) so we can trouble-shoot more efficiently.
I managed to install JstorR through RStudio on Windows. And I think this is great stuff! [BTW - for other users who - like me - get stuck: there are some dependencies that still have to be installed for the program to work. But as you try to install things, RStudio will give you an error message that specifies what you are missing. You can then use the package installer to install that package and run the installer again. It WILL end up working!) Most of the commands work. But I do get stuck in some of them on the 'topic keys file' that we have to manually select for mallet to work. Could you please specify what file that is, and where we can find it? I selected a random file in the folder the system created when I ran JSTOR_MALLET. But then it asks me for a 'doc topics file'. I selected an other random file, but it didn't like that. So can you help me out? Thanks!
