Create a hidden static search page rather than using the search URL path for the mobile header.

Seems fun, I wonder what the best way to do this is though. First thing that came to my mind was a page-search.php, but that requires even more setting up from the users side. Maybe a js toggled visibility on clicking the search link, to make it feel like a new page, but in fact it's just an addition to the homepage?

That's a good idea...hidden divs could definitely work. The biggest problem is that taking them to the search page without any parameter does a search for " ", returning every post. It could also just be a restyle of how I'm displaying the search page. I'll give the hidden div a tackle first and see if I can come up with a good experience on mobile. Thanks for the idea.

Haven't had a chance to play yet. I need to go in and change the search template to something more friendly to page results so I can kill two birds with one stone.
