Provide pop-up prompt for SSH Key passwords so they aren't stored #65

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. When using a password protected SSH key, the password stored for the
connection profile must be used to decrypt it.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Prompt for the SSH key password and only store it as long as necessary. Storing
the password for the key defeats part of it's security.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.5.5 beta, CM7 Nightly, Nexus One

Please provide any additional information below.

To meet your security requirements, we suggest you to use the app named
"connectbot" instead. As the parent project of SSHTunnel, it has provided a
complete security solution.

Against that, in our project we just try to break these security functions to
provide a "one-key enable" SSH Tunnel app. Less security but easy to use.
