If I export via Fabrication Toolkit and have a circle, rectangle or something in the layer User.1, then it becomes an edge cut, at least that's what it looks like.
Make a rectangle or something in the layer Edge.Cuts and make a circle in the layer User.1.
Export it with Fabrication Toolkit.
In KiCad, open Gerber Viewer, Open Zip Archive File under File, choose the zip-file in the production folder.
Select the projectname-Edge_Cuts.gbr checkbox, here you see the two edge cuts, one from layer Edge.Cuts and one from the layer User.1
