Error while compiling #6

I tried again to compile the lastest vesion, but I still had one problem with one package:

configure: error: Package requirements (gtk+-2.0 >= 2.20 pygtk-2.0 >= 2.12 pygobject-2.0 >= 2.15.3 mate-desktop-2.0 >= 1.1 dbus-python >= 0.80.2 ) were not met:

No package 'mate-desktop-2.0' found

what's the problem? I've installed mate-desktop package already

I figured it out. I had to install the pckage libmatedesktop-dev. Thank you for updating this applet. I have one question does this still works with Tracker?

That is odd, with Ubuntu 12.04 I get

/bin/sed: can't read /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgtk-x11-2.0.la: No such file or directory
libtool: link: `/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgtk-x11-2.0.la' is not a valid libtool archive

with libgtk2.0-dev installed. Apart from that, I think it should still work with tracker.
