fix for glib2-2.31 and switch to matewnck #7

can you give me a favor and provide a downloadlink under downloads at github, like mate-deskbar-applet-2-32.0 or better *-1.4.0. It's better for rpm's to have a valid download url.

Well sure, but I'd like to be able to compile it under a recent Ubuntu too, where /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgtk-x11-2.0.la is not availiable, but libgtk-x11-2.0.a.

Do you have a suggestion how to fix that?

In fedora all static libaries are filter out in the rpm building process with --disable-static, or if this doen't help with a 'rm' command in the spec file. Mate-Deskbar didn't ask for libgtk-x11-2.0.la/a if i build my rpm. This happens only if you had forget the --disable-static flag or remove the static libaries in another package.
