Merge in MVVM branch #122

Now that most of the things that could count as issues have been addressed, it may be a good time to call this branch "done" and bring out the MVVM branch you've been working on. It seems that the more features that get stuffed in here, the more cumbersome it will be to transition.

Let me know if you want assistance with that, or anything else.

Hey Andy, I'm going to keep the MVVM branch separate for a while, at least until it works in some dimension. At the moment it's completely broken. I like to have dev close to working so that we can release bugfixes as needed.

But yes, hopefully I'll get it into dev soon to ease the transition. In the mean time I'm happy to wear the cost of manually re-applying bugfixes that come into dev.

Sounds like a plan. I'll be around to help with bug fixing or whatever. :)
