I have got import error ...undefined symbol .... udev_device_get_devnode ,
By the way, I am using UBUNTU 24.04 and Python 3.12
Out of curious, which ubuntu or python version are the most compatible one to pseyepy (recommened by you )?
Thanks!

Ran the installation script with pip: $ pip install -v .
Installed some other packages: pip install pillow h5py
I moved the shared object file (e.g., cameras.cpython-310-x86_64-linux-gnu.so) which was under one of the build dirs (e.g., ./build/lib.linux-x86_64-cpython-310/pseyepy) to ./pseyepy/cameras.so.
I added this directory to my $LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable: $ export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/home/...{INSERT-YOUR-PATH}.../pseyepy/pseyepy.
Alternatively, you can add this export command to the last line of your ~/.bashrc file for variable permanance.
I had some trouble with USB permissions, so I made the following changesa:
a. Create a udev rule file: $ sudo nano /etc/udev/rules.d/99-usb.rules
b. Add the following text: SUBSYSTEM=="usb", MODE="0666", GROUP="plugdev"
c. Add your user to the "plugdev" group: $ sudo usermod -aG plugdev $USER
d. Reload: $ sudo udevadm control --reload-rules
e. Trigger: $ sudo udevadm trigger
d. Verify that your permissions where updated: $ ls -l /dev/usb/001/010
