Signing Up for Bento #251

Personally I think it's rude to require one to have a Google or Facebook account, or, for that matter, ANY account with another site to signup for a membership to a site. I have a Google account, but if I signup using it, NOW GOOGLE KNOWS one other thing about me. I don't have a Facebook account, but it's the same issue. Why is Bento asking me to tell these organizations more about myself when IT'S NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS! Please allow another way to sign up for Bento.

Is this a request for some other type of authentication? (OpenID/Verisign/other) Or is this a request for Bento to implement its own user and login system?
