Can't open dropbox files #830

Open stratprof opened 9 years ago

stratprof commented 9 years ago

Using a variety of computers (mostly Windows as well as a Mac), II have been working upon a text file stored in a Dropbox subfolder.

When I drill to the file and try to open it in Stackedit (on my Asus chromebook), I receive the following message:

Dropbox error (404: {"error": "Path '/writing_projects/C%26P Deux folder/Lecture 1.txt' not found"}).

Please note that I have a second chromebook, an HP 11. It also has Stackedit and the same error message is generated when I try to access the same Dropbox file.

Many thanks for your attention to this matter.

I had the same issue on my Ubuntu 16.04 system running Chrome 55.0.2883.87 (64-bit). I happened to empty my browser cache recently (for an unrelated issue), and that resolved it. It also necessitated re-syncing all my Dropbox documents, so obviously this is not ideal.

I encountered a similar issue on my Android phone, also running Chrome, and there the issue resolved when I tried to sync only one doc from Dropbox at a time. Again, not a very satisfactory fix.

I get the same problem: image

Also happened after cache clear. Could it be related to the choice of having StackEdit restricted?

More Info - While opening file failed, saving file worked properly. This behavior happened even after clearing all browser cache and cookies.

@benweet , It is an old problem yet it seems to persist with v5.

Thank You.
