Use unicode characters #1

Hi there,

Can you also add to your theme file to be able to convert from the unicode nonsense that ios devices send, eg  . You could use https://github.com/VxJasonxV/emoji-for-pidgin/blob/master/Emoji-for-Pidgin/theme as a reference point.

:+1: It will be really useful, since everything seems to support unicode emoji. For example, take vk4xmpp transport. VK doesn't support GitHub codes, but it converts Unicode symbols.

Sorry this has taken me so long to get to!

So the issue is because iOS sends  when it uses emoji?
