The site uses a lot of big queries where the results don't change too often, using Cake's cache system would speed it up quite a bit.

It probably makes sense to cache the data (not the view) since caching views will mess up time zone stuff later.

Excellent use of cache:

/profiles/review/UUU/YYYY (past year's sketch list isn't going to change)
/profiles (writer's list doesn't change unless a user posts a first sketch; need make sure to highlight on 30th though)
