Project needs a proper open-source license.

Why not GPL then?

Well GPL is somewhat "viral" which I do not like much. I am considering Apache License v2 but not sure yet.

I don't know, I just want to be cautious. So you're in the favor of GPL?

Generally yes. But you are the initiators and main developers of the project, so naturally it is up to you come up with the final decision. It's just that I don't see any reason why GPL would hurt.
