Is this no longer supported? Perhaps archive the repo and make it read-only so people know?

Great work by the way. I really liked this widget, that made a fork when I started having issues and server 500 errors for this. It's my own simpler fork of this which I host on a free pythonanywhere.com instance: https://github.com/joedf/github-badge-2

Unfortunately it can be considered dead because of Google Cloud's recent policy changes. I'll think about archiving the repo and giving a link to your fork in README.md. Thank you for using GitHub Badge!
