I use http proxy to connect to the internet from my browser.
Is it possible to use http proxy with sopcast?
I couldn't find any place to enter the proxy.

I am unsure of what you are asking. If you are using a proxy to access the
internet
you should be able to specify the proxy for system-wide internet access
(including
SopCast Player).

flyguy97, please excuse me for my previous comment, I regret about writing it.
Spent about 1 hour trying to view some video via sopcast-player...

If you are talking about Apply system wide button in Proxy Server settings in
Gnome, this option doesn't work with proxy server that requires authorization.
It does work for web-browsers, but for some apps like synaptic it works only
seldom.
For a bunch of apps ntlmaps can be used, but it didn't work with
sopcast-player.
Can we trace network connection erros in sopcast-player somehow without using
wireshark? It would be useful.

PS I really appreciate your work, thanks for creating sopcast-player for Linux!
