Looging stops and starts with no reason

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Use it on a Samsung Galaxy S to log your track for few hours

What is expected? What do you get instead?

 When the application runs for few hours on a Samsung Galaxy S, The logging of the GPS locations stops and starts with no reason for up to tens of minutes. The GPS is locked and a similar application like TwoNav or Ozi don't stop.

What version of the product are you using?

 Last verion - 0.9.18b

Please provide any additional information below.
