Map Index error with Australian NSW maps #251

I get a map index error: index=0 length=0 when I start Androzic with any NSW 
topo maps in the map folder.

All my NSW maps worked fine in older (>6 months) versions of androzic and work 
fine in the desktop and android versions of oziexplorer.

Below is a map file which causes this error:

I also have this problem using 1.5. 1.6b also has the defect.

Same problem, it started getting map index error when I installed v1.4.1, v1.4 
works fine.

I'm a  new user and have the same problem with all my NSW topo maps that I hav 
tried. I am using version 1.6

Installed version 1.4 on my Acer tablet and the maps now load

New user with Galaxy Note, using v1.6 having same problem with NSW topo maps.

I wante to attach 2 Australian maps, but I see the attachment storage quota is 
exceeded so have included the .map files. The 531_Bairnsdale works with version 
1.6 the 9131_Gosford works with version 1.4 and not wiyh 1.6. I think the 
problem is in the map file and I have tried some editing without success. Any 
help would be appreciated.

I was hoping we might hear from the developer by now.
I have looked and modified the map files yet they are still not loading so have 
placed the files and a comparison spreadsheet of the map file in Dropbox.

Also have this problem, my hema maps load fine, just the 25k and 100k topo maps 
not working

I also have this problem after recently upgrading Androzic from Google Play.

Now none of the maps from http://maps.festy.org/download/ozi seem to work. 8-(

How sad.

Androzic is so much better than the sluggish Ozi Explorer app for android.

Hi,

I also encountered a Map Index problem loading map files that came from "Festy 
Maps".

After many, many, many hours of research and testing I found that the "MM1B" 
setting in the Festy map file was causing the error. What I did to make the 
maps work:
1. Backup all your maps and map files.
2. Select a map to test.
3. Open map in OziExplorer.
4. Save the map file. Map button top right corner.
5. Exit OziExplorer.
6. Copy map and newly saved map file to your device. To save time during 
testing make sure no other maps are on device.
7. Open Androzic and see if this works for you.

I still haven't worked out a programmatic solution to the problem as for the 
life of me I can't replicate the Ozi scale calculation.

This was due to empty lines in a map file. Will be fixed in an upcoming release.

Yep - seems to be working with the festy (http://maps.festy.org/) maps (NSW 25k 
and 100k at least). Thanks!
