Hey

I've rejiggered the graylog2-server and graylog2-web recipes to work out the box on Ubuntu 12.04.

• I removed a dependency on a specific path for bundle as that path wasn't there on 12.04. It'll just use bundle on the system path.
• I also changed the mongo host to be 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost in graylog2-server. For reasons not found by my extremely lazy troubleshooting either java or graylog2 decides that localhost doesn't need to be looked up by the standard system resolver and declares it to be 127.0.1.1 despite a hosts file entry saying otherwise. Mongodb does use the system resolver and ends up listening on 127.0.0.1.

No worries, hope it helps some other graylog2 adventurer. I found some issues with the bundle and having zero experience with ruby managed to muddle my way to a working package. I've added that commit. If it's horrible I'm sorry.
