@BurntSushi resurrecting the dead here, but we've implemented this same fix in https://github.com/Bomoda/hanziconv/releases ; this master repo doesn't seem to have been updated since 2014; multiple people seem to have fixed this specific issue independently in their forks. We will be maintaining our fork. @berniey , we would gladly maintain the package as well if you do not mind.
