Upgrade Next.js 14 and React 18.2

Goal

Just before the release of the 2023 JavaScript Rising Stars, let's upgrade dependencies and try to improve web performance if possible

• use Next.js Image component instead of raw images
• inline SVG logos used in header (Best of JS logo) and footer (Vercel logo)
• remove some inline style
• preload the banner to improve LCP metrics (Largest Contentful Paint) using link rel="preload"
