GPS velocity multiplier. #3835

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe

The feature I would like to request is a simple multiplier that could applied to real GPS velocity to better reflect the scale velocity of fixed wing and ground vehicles. This would work especially well for scale ground vehicles.

Describe the solution you'd like

A value in a 'Scale Velocity Multiplier' box beside the GPS velocity entry in the OSD section could be entered by the user so a the value of '10' would multiply the GPS velocity displayed in the OSD value by 10 so that '5 kph' would display '50 kph'.

Scale velocity can be determined in a number of ways so I suggest the input box be text entry rather than a dropdown menu of scales. A numeric range of 1 > 100 should cover any circumstance.

Describe alternatives you've considered

I can't think of an easier solution.

Other information

I am working on FPV scale fixed wing planes and RC cars and would like to display a velocity that reflects the scale speed instead of the real speed. I'm more than willing to help any developer implement this feature.

My third generation plane will use an AIO F4 flight controller and brushless motors. It's this 3rd generation plane I'd like to use the GPS velocity multiplier on as well as a ground vehicle project I'm working on which is still in stealth mode. I gave up on programming long ago or I'd just do it myself.

I'll let any developer that can deliver this option know exactly what my stealth ground vehicle project is all about. ;)
