After struggling to understand why I could not get Telemetry from the Betaflight F3 FC to my Spektrum DX6 via a Spektrum 4649t receiver, I think I may have found a reason as to why.
According to the below thread on RCGroups, Betaflight is outputting to the receiver using the "PowerBox" sensor. While this works on the DX9 transmitter, it is not included on other models including the DX6. According to Andy Kunz at Spektrum, this is a bad choice for the above reason. and I quote:
Better to use the capacity meters that ARE supported across the full transmitter range.
I'm not a developer, nor do I have any knowledge of the Spektrum Telemetry protocol, but I wondered if someone who does could perhaps look into this and see if there is a better way?
