When using monospace fonts, characters like . should be drawn centered be easily readable

Wow, that's an honor :)

But to be honest, I don't know how much I will contribute in the future. Currently I am using Gorilla for simple development HUD things like an fps display and an ingame terminal.

My future Gorilla activities will depend on how much I will use Gorilla in my game.

I am currently thinking about implementing an QStyle using Gorilla to render the GUI. I have no Idea how much work this would be, but if I decide to do so, my contributions to Gorilla would continue and I would help implementing Unicode support (including pango-style invalid character display for non monospace fonts).
Otherwise my gorilla contributions will be mostly small things like helping keeping Gorilla keeping compatible to the future Ogre Version.

If that's ok, I won't say no to becoming an Gorilla Collaborator :)
