several issues please help

I am using v1.0.1.7 using the installer didn't work. I checked the log file and no hydra driver was being loaded. I then opened the install script and manually registered the directory and moved the config file over. Still didn't work right. The .dll wouldn't load... for some reason it wanted it named the same as the directory I had installed it to? Finally, I got it to see the hydra but... when I put the head set on I do not get any prompt to setup the hydra controllers.

I also tried to do the room scale setup and the system sees my Headset but not the controllers. I tried clicking all kinds of buttons and cannot get it to do anything useful. I do know that it is seeing the controllers somewhat because when I run the tutorial the "vive" controller is above me and the trigger moves in and out but no tracking.

Any suggestions?

Your problem is the invalid folder name in steamvr\drivers. The directory must be named "hydra" not "driver_hydra_v1".

Thanks betavr, it looks like the installer was putting the files in the wrong folder. This is the default from the installer. C:\Program Files (x86)\SteamVR Hydra driver\

That's actually the correct behaviour. The installer copies the files outside the steam install, and registers as an external driver with vrpathreg. If this operation fails you can always put the driver folder manually under SteamVR\drivers.

Also you can register the driver by issuing the command:

vrpathreg.exe adddriver "C:\Program Files (x86)\SteamVR Hydra driver\hydra"

ok fixed sort of the removedriver didn't work... but moving the driver into steamvr folder did... actually had 2 sets connected until i changed the dir to stop the copy for loading externally. However, now I have a problem with Jitter. anything more than 2 feet from the base station shakes so much that you can't do anything? Is there any filtering that can be done? I've seen others use the razers without this issue.

BUTTON 1 toggles the imu emulation, which causes lots of jitter. If you still get jitter with imu emulation off, then probably there is a some magnetic field interfering with your hydra.

My windows is x64. SteamVR can detect the controller after I installed "x86" version VC runtime (It doesn't work with x64 version)

The controller icon are flashing in stermVR. Show "Controller not tracking" .I am working through this. at least I see green icons now :+1:

Yes, the VC redist is needed for some ppl, I'm glad it solved the problem for you. The green flashing is normal until the hemisphere calibration is completed. You should see a message in the headset telling you to aim at the base station and pull both triggers. After that the flashing stops and you can calibrate by pressing the system buttons.

I just recieved my Hydra yesterday and installed the razer configurator and proceeded to steam to install SteamVR ( I also downloaded the Sixense SDK but have no clue how to instal it or use it whatsoever) and the Razer Hydra driver from Steam, the driver from steam was not detected and/or installed properly. So I uninstalled steam and went through the various other fixes and nothing seems to work. I don't know anything about programming and I could really use some assistance.
