[x] real-time validation that describes to the user any errors they have made in the shift edit form
[x] clean up UI so buttons do not run past any borders on any screen size
[x] replace time drop-downs with time pickers instead (some ideas: http://www.sitepoint.com/10-jquery-time-picker-plugins/)
