The problem in #1206 triggered #1209 which then spawned #1210 for later.
I did the following:
made a better working link to home page for the schedule update email. REMINDER - update the instructions and the template when it’s installed.
made error handling and a catch of any exceptions that are thrown from the email generation process. When the user is a privileged person, the problem is shared as a error message in our typical pattern.
